Default New PvP Capes + New Emblems

When you enter PvP you're forced to display your cape. Your cape is made either red or blue to make it clear which team you're on. I say that we should be able to decide the coloring of our cape when in PvP so that it looks a bit more to our liking, as well as keep the emblem it's original color. You should be able to choose both the blue and red coloring, and your cape would need to be able to distinguish. I also say they should add a pack of new cape emblems, whether your guild leader need a micro-transaction or to pay gold for it. This should not really be that much work, it's basically just drawing up a few emblems and putting them into the game. Perhaps to unlock certain emblems you may need to have a certain rank in GvG or complete some sort of feat (reaching HoH as a guild, slaying Mallyx with more than 1/2 guild members, etc..). Thoughts? Feel free to suggest better ways of going about this idea or turn down the idea if you do not agree with it.

A whole new slew of emblems and borders and cape styles would be fantastic. I am not a fan of being able to pick the colors though.

The cape changing in PvP is one of the main reasons why I don't stay in guilds.

Maybe each individual person could decorate their cape any color but then the cape has the color on the border that can't be tampered with in PvP.

Or maybe not a cape at all, I really don't see anyone needing to see a color on someone's cape to determine who's side they're on. I mean unless they NEVER look at the mini-map and search for colors. ._.

Costume brawl already proved that cape coloring is not needed. Relying on something that's only on the back of your opponent isn't that reliable anyway.

I like your ideas such as slay Mallyx as a guild. I think cape colors should only reflect GvG matches. The colors they are in RA, HA, etc. are to keep things simple. However, we could have it so that red team has a red glow similar to bosses and vice versa with blue team then this would allow guild capes to reflect their color

Yea, I like the boss aura idea. PvP is the only place EVERYBODY shows their cape and the all blue/ all red thing makes your cape look crappy.

If you set up the colors right, even gradients can turn into a nice single-shade red/blue instead of looking out of place. Do some experimenting.

A boss aura would make it so that your color is clear, it wouldn't need to go over your cape. It's stupid to need to make your cape just so that it won't look dumb when they make it all blue/red. If you could at least choose the darkness/lightness of the shade and possibly outline certain details or leave your emblem or border its original color it wouldn't look as bad. The boss aura thing wasn't even my suggestion, I was just saying it would be better than how it's done now.

I don't think the aura would make your cape look crappy and it doesn't have to be anything intense, not completely glowing a certain color, just a simple outline. We don't need floating chaos axes by any means.

Aren't names and borders around names in the target window color indication enough?

I wholeheartedly agree with suggestions for new capes, emblems and auras. Especially auras. It was about time PvP got some love.

The only thing i ever wanted as far as capes go, is someway to see if a player is an officer or guild leader. You guys already get pretty bronze, silver and gold trims, surely thats enough?

Ofcourse it's not enough, it's not like anyone can get into a trimmed guild. Leaders and officers should have Diablo2-style auras for easy recognition.

The split between PvP and PvE Remains.
Sorry but i refuse to argue about something that i doubt will happen.

There is no split to speak of. Especially now that PvE rewards are handed over for griefing in PvP. The PvP community likes to think there is a split and that PvP is more prestigious but that's just wishful thinking. The desire to feel special and better is in every one of us and it's only human for them to succumb to delusions.

then why get fancy capes for pvp, and not for pve?

i like this idea, but the colours are to represent teams, you wouldn't goto a football game and wear different colour jerseys?

/signed for the new emblems and stuff, particularly a goat :P

There's a reason for team colors, that reason is good and not one you can work around.

As for more emblems and shit, I don't care since there's already like a hundred, but ok.
